Leone has worked in administration areas for many years, completing
a Certificate in Human Resource Management in 1992. But the Arts
beckoned and she later completed an Honour's degree in Visual Art
specialising in fabric and wallpaper prints. She has exhibited in
a number of group shows including an exhibition of prints in Southern
China.
In 2000 Leone combined her arts and administration knowledge when
she joined the Executive of the Powerhouse Museum, assisting the
Associate Director, Knowledge and Information Management. This provided
her with the opportunity to gain a broader understanding of how
Information Technology is used in the cultural sector. Leone has
been involved with digital image management and was a project team
member for the Collections Information Management System implementation
at the Museum.
Leone's current role is working with the redevelopment of the AMOL
website, in particular the rebranding and promotion of the new website.
