The Exhibitions
Gallery (Wangaratta) |
Wangaratta
is the last town on this trail and like Benalla it sits on an important waterway at the
junction of the Ovens and King rivers. The district around Wangaratta was once a popular
area for bushrangers such as Ned Kelly and his Gang and 'Mad Dog' Morgan. The Exhibitions Gallery
at Wangaratta does not have a permanent collection but hosts diverse travelling
exhibitions throughout the year.
