    Arts Victoria Audience Research Database
    Arts Victoria has developed the Arts Audience Research Listing in response to strong arts sector support for the provision of a centralised research index. The listing includes research commissioned in the past two years, or currently in progress, by Victorian arts organisations, local governments and other agencies (including Arts Victoria).

    Australian Museum Audience Research Centre (AMARC)
    AMARC is a Research Centre established by the Australian Museum to undertake and facilitate research into museum audiences including  their characteristics, behavior and learning. AMARC has developed a comprehensive web site on audience research and evaluation.

    Museum Education Monitor
    Christine Castle manage the Museum Educator Monitor, a list of publications on museums research available for downloading.

    Interpretation Australia Association is a national membership-based organisation dedicated to the advancement of the profession of heritage interpretation. 

    Association of Science and Technology Centres (US)
    The Association of Science and Technology Centres Incorporated (ASTC) is an organisation of science centres and museums dedicated to furthering the public understanding of science among increasingly diverse audiences. ASTC encourages excellence and innovation in informal science learning by serving and linking its members worldwide and advancing their common goals.

    The Australian Market and Social Research Society
    The Australian Market & Social Research Society (AMSRS) is a not-for-profit professional membership body of more than 2,100 market research professionals who are dedicated to increasing the standard and understanding of market research in Australia. The society assists members to develop their careers by heightening professional standards and ethics in the fields of marketing and social research.

    Environmetrics
    An independent Australian company that provides social research in tourism and leisure; cultural venues and activities; environmental and social issues; communication and advertising research, and housing, town planning and residential. This site outlines the services provided by Environmetrics, as well as containing relevant papers about audience research and evaluation.

    Museum visitor studies organisations

    Visitor Studies Association (US)
    The Visitor Studies Association is an international network of professionals committed to understanding and enhancing visitor experiences in museums, science centers, nature centers, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, historic sites, and interpretive facilities. Through research, evaluation and dialogue, VSA members explore the ways knowledge and experiences are shared in informal learning environments.

    The VSA newsletter, Visitor Studies Today is available online at the VSA site. 

     

    Visitor Studies Group (UK)
    The Visitor Studies Group is a national group of engaged museum professionals who support each other to achieve best practice in visitor research. The Visitor Studies Group seeks to represent opinion and expertise, to participate in debate and to impact on policy and strategy across the sector.
