- biographies of individuals
- the stories told around particular objects
- the histories of particular places (eg goldfields, stores,
market gardens)
- oral histories
- stories told through art works, poems or other creative
work
- how you researched and wrote your story
Guidelines:
You will need to provide
- a story of between 250 and 2000 words
- the sources of the information in your story
- photographs which can be used in your story
- Chinese characters which you want included in your story
If you can provide your story in electronic form (eg Microsoft
Word) this will help a great deal.

When you are ready to submit your story, please send it to:

After you submit your story:
Your photographs will be scanned and the originals returned to
you. At the same time, your story will be read and suggestions about
changes or additions will be sent to you. You will be asked to work
through these suggestions, make those changes or additions which
you want and return the final copy of your story along with a form
giving the Golden Threads Project permission to publish your story
on the Golden Threads website. You will always be acknowledged as
the author of the story.
