Common causes of damage

All the most common types of damage are caused by:

  • poor handling;

  • poor storage methods;

  • poor display methods;

  • inappropriate environmental conditions;

  • chemical interaction between the metals and other materials, including other metals; or

  • a combination of any of the above factors.
